Poor
Unfortunately the food was very poor on the evening we visited! The service was friendly and kind. However, we had been told the chef had changed and we went to try this place out again with a group of friends. I had the Pad Thai and it really was dreadful. Tasteless chicken which had been mixed with tofu … I couldn’t tell if I was eating the chicken or the tofu, the texture was the same! One friend complained their fish was still partially frozen! We also started off with a mixed plate of starters, which were ok but nothing more exquisite than a pack of pre-made Asian starters you buy at the supermarket. Very disappointing which is a shame as the management/staff seemed charming.

Excellent
Homemade and quality cuisine with Asian flavors that we recommend. Since the change of direction, nothing is the same, either in the Plates or in the Service. And good. A real improvement and we will come back with pleasure every time on Monaco.

Food was very average. Pad Thai tasted like had tomato sauce inside? Not sure but didn’t taste very authentic if that’s what you’re looking for. Service was nice though

In town for the Monaco GP and came here after qualifying. Was able to get seated no problem. Hugo spritz and aperol spritz were both delicious. Fried chicken spring rolls were good. Hoisin duck wrap was good, I wished there were more veggies to use though! Fried rice was okay but could use some soy sauce.
The staff were all very friendly but they were clearly busy so service was slow. A nice spot if you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the GP, I don’t think a lot of people knew to come up here.
There’s likely better Asian food elsewhere in Monaco but this was still a lovely spot to welcome the evening after a long day!!

We had a diner here, the service was way too long, we wait almost 1h for the appetizer without explanation. Nevertheless the food was good, pricy but we are in Monaco so it was expected.

Great address!
A real crush for Spicy Bamboo! I enjoyed an absolutely delicious Thai basil beef stir-fry — perfectly balanced flavors, tender meat and a generous plate. Congratulations to the chef for this great mastery of Thai cuisine!
Many thanks also to the team of waitresses, smiling, attentive and very professional. You immediately feel welcome. And I want to acknowledge the work of the Director, who leads her team with elegance and efficiency. There is a real cohesion and attention to detail in every aspect of the service.
Lovely service, amazing food! Great vegan options.

Je vais à ce restaurant le soir et depuis plusieurs années. La cuisine y a toujours été délicieuse et tout est frais ! Félicitations à la cheffe qui a su garder la qualité de sa cuisine constante depuis le début. Le patron est aux petits oignons. Les cocktails m'ont toujours beaucoup plu, succulents et on en redemande. Bien que les prix semblent un peu élevés, il n'y a pas mieux pour de la cuisine asiatique à ce prix-là en principauté donc j'y mange toujours avec plaisir. Le cadre est agréable. Juste un petit bémol pour l'ambiance, le soir, car l'endroit fait un peu isolé, sauf si vous aimez dîner au calme justement. Car au fond, ce n'est qu'à 200m du port ! Le mobilier est confortable et c'est vraiment un plus ! J'aime le Spicy Bamboo 🧡

Never again for us
We took a rib of beef each with my son at 34 euros each.
First surprise, we are told that there is no accompaniment with, unless extra charge.
The beef we were served was not fresh.
In addition, there was a lot of nerves and fat. We haven’t finished it, it’s the first time it’s happened to us.
What a disappointment at this price.

They put the spice in spicy bamboo! This place is amazing- a true gem in the city of Monaco. The homemade spring rolls were to die for. Repeat after me- beef dish in my belly. Yum yum yum

Super coctails and nice food. Also good vibe, polite waiters (yes they exist!) and a nice location at the foot of Le Stella building. If you descend from the royal palace you walk through Rue de la Turbie. Go up the stairs (or take the elevator) and there it is, at the place des Bougainvilliers. At the top of the stairs you have a good photo opportunity by the way to shoot a nice french street on the one side and the beautiful Le Stella building.

Fantastic lunch of teriyaki tofu with dried ginger and green onion on top, and delicious roasted eggplant. No rice included sadly but the side of fried rice we ordered was a good addition. Kind wait staff and chefs. Nicely spaced indoor and outdoor seating, relatively quiet both indoors and out, well designed kitchen. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure- it is by far my favorite restaurant in Monaco. The staff are respectful, on the ball and overall amazing. What really impressed me though was how Spicy Bamboo upheld the public health and safety regulations during Covid - I felt very comfortable with a belly full of delicious Asian cuisine. It is family friendly and at this time I couldn’t find anything better.
