Stopped by for nice slow and relaxing lunch during a Viking cruise break after touring the church. The staff is bilingual and very nice. The food, an endive salad and calzone were delicious.

Monaco has lots of great food in amazing settings and views but not all good food need those. Some places like Saint Nicolas just need a cozy and relax setting. Even better, the prices are a bit cheaper than other places but definitely well worth the price and quality is very great (after all, it is Monaco!)
The Niçoise was excellent. Enough of everything. Every bite can have a bit of everything or start with the tasty anchovy to get your palate drooling and well salivated to welcome the rest of the ingredient.
Pasta were perfectly al dente and the sauces generously deep in flavour. Every millimeter of pasta coated in rich pomodori. The seafood pasta was just right enough of that fresh sea taste and smell. The pizzas were very satisfying and actually a decent size.

We had a lovely lunch choosing a pizza, excellent dough, very authentically Italian, I had parmigiana which was an entrée but incredibly rich, flavourful to eat with Olive pile and bread. The plates are small but incredible quality. The sound of the fountain and the surrounding architecture of the church where Princess Grace was married as a backdrop makes it a memorable experience.

Disappointed
I was expecting more but was disappointed, I should have taken a pizza.
I had a glass of wine 🍷 and it was very small for the price.
Service is good the restaurant is in need of a lick of paint.

Very proper food, even had the wine exchanged when it turned out I didn’t like the one recommended by the waiter (luckily I asked the owner about it and it was promptly sorted). I remove a star for a disagreeable server - although if you don’t really care I do recommend the place :)

Perfect pizza and cannelloni, quiet and great setting right next to the cathedral. The parmigiana (eggplant) was wonderful and tender enough to cut with a fork. Outdoor at night is romantic and cozy.

We dropped by for a quick bite during our Monaco tour. Was a mistake. Luckily we ordered one pizza to see how it goes. It was horrible. One side of the pizza was burnt black the other was raw. Please avoid the place take a sandwich instead. This restaurant shall not exist.

The 4 of us wanted to share a pizza and a ravioli because we were not too hungry. When they heard the word share, the waiter stopped listening, got really mad (even broke a glass) and ran into an infinite loop repeating “No sharing, no sharing, minimum 2 pizzas for 4”. Didn’t even let us finish our order. Simply refused to listen and take our orders and told us in a really rude way to leave. Come on man this is a pizza place not some restaurant with Michelin stars. I understand if you are having a bad day but I am still the guest and this kind of communication can NOT be accepted from your side. 100% not recommended.

Tucked away in a side plaza/street just off the cathedral. Terrace was great as the sun was out, there were few people and you cpuld hear the fountain in the background. Food was great as was the service. Exceeded expectations.

I struggled to find many restaurants open in Monaco but found this delightful restaurant at opening time. The Caesar I had was the biggest and most tasty salad I have ever had! Also I wanted to try Calzone after a rubbish one I had in Venice and I was not disappointed it was wonderful. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome and giving me very tasty food!

We had a great dinner at Saint Nicolas the other day, service was over the moon, my 4 year old son was offered 3 seat cushions so he could reach the table better - nice touch from the waitress. Food was very tasty, we have been served very quickly, waitress even took a picture of us all. Highly recommended!!

Completely wonderful. We had the very good fortune of having lunch here today and it was perfect. This lovely restaurant is on a somewhat quiet street near the cathedral. Every dish is homemade and you will know sauce nirvana when you taste it ! The atmosphere is welcoming. The chef is great at his craft. I think these must be family recipes because they are something very special. We will return for more before we leave Monaco.

I was quite astonished to find such a good restaurant on “the rock” between all the tourist traps. Both food and wine were excellent and the staff quite friendly. Make sure to have a reservation as even for lunch it is quite busy (not surprising). The calamaris grillé is a real treat, as are the fried mushrooms (cepes).

(july 15 2017) Before entering the restaurant I asked the gentleman at the entrance if the weekend special was chicken (seeing I don’t speak French) and he replied yes with the little bit of english he could speak. But when he brought the main course it was a pot of mussels. I called the gentleman and explained him that I didn’t order mussels but the weekend special with chicken. He took it and didn’t come back. When it came time to pay i asked for a discount seeing I couldn’t eat mussels. They told me it’s not possible and I have to pay the full price. I wasn’t satisfied with the treatment but not to make any problem I payed it. I will never eat again at this restaurant !! They were real kind when we entered at first but at the end they were unfriendly and acting as if they don’t understand english.
