The cathedral is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with free entry for all visitors. Inside, you’ll find the tombs of Monaco’s former Princes, including Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, which add a poignant touch to the visit. While there isn’t an audio guide available, the atmosphere and historical significance of the cathedral make it a worthwhile stop. It’s advisable to dress modestly.

The tomb of Grace Kelly (1929-1982) is in the neo-Romanesque Cathédrale de Monaco in Monaco-Ville (1911) where she and Prince Rainier were married in 1956. The retablo of Saint Nicholas (1500) by Renaissance painter Ludovico Brea is also in the cathedral.

Located at 4 Rue Colonel Bellando de Castro, 98000 Monaco 🇲🇨. The Cathedral of our Lady Immaculate, informally known as the Cathedral of Monaco is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Monaco. It was built from 1873 to 1903 and was consecrated on 11 June 1911. The Cathedral was constructed using white stone from Turbie and it houses the tombs of Monaco’s former royal family members including Princess Grace and her husband Prince Rainer III. It was particularly moving to see these burial sites. The present cathedral stands on the site of a former church which was dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This former church was completed in 1321 and stood on this site for six 6️⃣ centuries until it was demolished to make way for the present cathedral. There are two 2️⃣ organs in the cathedral, the Grand Organ above the narthex, built in 1976 and the Choir Organ, built in 1976. It’s FREE 🆓 admission to the cathedral from 9.00am until 6.00pm daily and visitors are asked to dress respectfully. Shoulders to be covered. Miniskirts and shorts not permitted. The Cathedral sits up high so the views were stunning looking over Monaco and the coastline. The Princess Grace Gardens were very beautiful and I suggest you explore them. It’s a special place. The architecture on the cathedral is amazing, the workmanship that went into the construction is incredible and very impressive. The art that was evident from the paintings to the statues and was brilliant to see and appreciate. The cathedral is a stunning jewel of Monaco’s amazing heritage and I felt so privileged to visit. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

One of the amazing jewels in Monaco's crown. Sitting high up on the hill, this beautiful church has some exceptional paintings. It was amazing to see the grave site for Princess Grace and and her husband. The view is exceptional from here and do yourself a favour and walk up through the Princess Grace Gardens. After your visit here, you should head over to the Palace which is just next door. The whole area is well worth a visit.
