This year’s carnival, themed “Pirates and Princesses,” will feature a variety of attractions including shows, activities, face painting, tattoo stations, balloon artists, and giant bubble displays. Attendees can also enjoy street parades and vendors offering granita and candy floss. Continuing the tradition of previous years, the festivities will culminate in a Grand Ball hosted by a DJ. Families are invited to dance at the Place de la Mairie starting at 10 pm.

Dive into the vibrant beats of Voilaaa on Thursday, 2nd May 2024, for an evening where unstoppable groove meets witty humor. Crafted by the visionary producer Bruno “Patchworks” Hovart, Voilaaa is an exploration of funk and disco, infused with rich African and Caribbean rhythms. Hovart has gathered a diverse ensemble of artists, blending elements of afrobeat, soul, and disco to create a unique sound. The project gained acclaim with their debut album “On te l’avait dit,” featuring the talents of Pat Kalla and Sir Jean. Following the success of their initial release, their 2017 album “Des promesses” presented a more politically charged narrative. With contributions from Doctor Lass in the track “Kemtane” and the invigorating performances of Hawa and Fouley Badiaga on “Et toi tu crois,” Voilaaa reinvigorates afro-disco with their mesmerizing rhythms and captivating live performances.

Gliz, an innovative trio originating from the Jura region of Switzerland, stands out in the music scene for their unique approach to rock. Eschewing traditional instruments like the guitar and bass, they instead create their distinctive sound with a banjo and tuba. Since their debut with the album “Cydalima” in June 2019, Gliz has shown a fearless willingness to experiment and redefine genre boundaries. Their journey through the music landscape was notably marked by the global pandemic, which they turned into an opportunity for growth and reflection. This period of introspection led to the creation of “MASS,” their second album, a project that distilled thirty songs down to the ten most impactful tracks. This selection process highlights their evolution from catchy pop and stiff folk to a richer, more soulful and intense musical expression. Gliz’s work, especially their shift in musical direction with “MASS,” showcases their dedication to innovation and their ability to adapt and thrive in changing circumstances.
