Absolutely terrible experience at Cova on Boulevard de Moulins, Monaco. The service was beyond appalling, with staff displaying a complete lack of respect and courtesy toward customers. The attitude of the employees was outright shocking, as if basic manners were a foreign concept to them. To make matters worse, this deplorable service comes with an average price of 14€ for just two cups of coffee! Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else – this place is not worth your time or money.

Unacceptable for a place that wants to present itself as a luxury place and the service is from a low-class neighborhood. How is it possible to let a rude girl manage the service and shout with the shamelessness to answer the customer badly when they ask her something? Only if you are a regular customer or Italian you are treated with kindness and politeness. A pity, never in all my trips to Monaco have I been treated so badly, obviously I will dont come back, luckily there are similar and better places with much more polite staff. A tip of advice for the boss, please motivate your staff to smile even a little, it seems like you are going to a funeral instead of having breakfast.

Atrocious and arrogant service from a young waiter who would not serve a simple glass of water . When finally after being asked twice he brought a quarter of a glass of water and left it at the edge of the table and ciao ! 😂😂 I was forced to stand up and buy a bottle , ultimately. “Generously” they gave 10% on it . It was quite irrelevant and humiliating - they did not get the point . Oh and I gave quite a few chances to this place … same issues each time - awful inattentive waiters , yet nice apologetic management that jump in too late . P.S. my ashtray was not changed once I started eating - you’d think they’d pride themselves with service in such a “dignified “ place .

Little to say terrible service. People working pay absolutely0 attention to clients, even when not a busy. Absolutely every time I go and take a lunch menu they trick guest when paying . Make sure you check what’s included in lunch menu and what you pay, otherwise you pay your water and desserts on top of «menu ». Disappointed as already many guests

You can’t really find excellent cappuccino that easily. I had been to Cova in Montenapoleone and when I randomly ran onto the one in Monte Carlo, I knew I had to go in and had my cap. We had a cap and pastries at the bar inside, as we wanted to make the most of our visit in MC. Even the way the lady (most of the staff is Italian) presents the cap makes you wonder whether to drink it or make love to it. Ended up paying 17 euros for 2 cap, 1 latte, one chocolate croissant, a mozzarella pomodoro focaccia and a little apple tart. A bit cheaper that the previous place by Larvotto Beach.

This morning before work, I wanted to get something quick because I was late. My choice was a croissant with apricot jam and fresh juice, and they were just as delicious as before. Today the staff surprised me unpleasantly!! A tall man met me outside the window, so I chose a croissant and took my seat. He just brought me a croissant in 10 minutes, then I waited for my fresh juice for another 5 minutes, and the restaurant can cook a whole dish during this time! That's all, he didn't bring me napkins, and when I was tired of waiting for him to come, I took them myself at the next table, to which he rudely replied to me in Italian “stay calm”, after which I wanted to pay at the bar and the girls were rude to me too. Terrible service and sad faces serve delicious croissants. The choice is yours!

Really quite a good place in an otherwise uninspiring area. Good pasta and the selection of little cakes was excellent. Sadly the rest of the street, and indeed much of Monte Carlo when the motor racing is in town (Formula E in our case) is very dreary.

The poorest pastry shop or café I have ever been, although I have visited a lot around the world. I’d planned in advance to visit the famous Pasticceria Cova in Monaco and have a nice pastry/cake and a proper café frappe. When we arrived the shop was totally empty, only a few tourists drank beer out on the terrace. When I checked the pastry selection there were only a few teeny-tiny, not so good looking pastries and Italian style biscuits which you can purchase at a Monoprix for €2/box. We decided on staying for a café frappe. The waiter helped us to a table and we didn’t receive a menu. Minutes later he asked if we had anything particular in our mind. I asked for two café frappés with gelato. He told us they didn’t serve frappé or iced coffee with gelato because they didn’t have a proper machine which makes it (at the same time looking at us like idiots for asking for a café frappé in the high heat in July). I have drank endless café frappés around Europe in Italy, France, Austria, etc. and it didn’t cause any trouble to prepare and it’s quite ridiculous that an Italian pastry shop/Café requires a “special machine” for making iced coffee with gelato. After this terrible customer service we left the place without order.

Lovely place ! The most I love about it is the staff , they energise you when you just enter the cafe . I recommend the orange juice and all the sweets ! Have never been disappointed. They also make custom cakes which is perfect for any occasion - I tried the chocolate on chocolate and believe me i wasn’t disappointed

Nice cafe, cool and fancy people go here. Stuff can give you attitude if they don't know you. Brace yourself and get some tiny cakes to push around the plate while you people watch

Avery fancy coffee and dessert bar, it's very high-end. You shouldnt expect anything less being in Monaco. It was very nice, clean and the staff was great. The pastries I had were great!

Cova is an Italian has 2 branches in Europe: one in Milan and one in Monte-Carlo. It is a rather posh establishment, made with much attention on class and refinement. More info @hello_riviera Instagram

I had the scrambled eggs and bacon as well as a chocolate croissant. It was really good. The scrambled eggs a bit on the runny side which isn't my thing but they tasted great regardless. The toast comes in nice little rectangles!

Beautifully done but pretentious and overrated. Coffee good but no better than so many places locally at half the inflated price charges here. Leave to the rich of Monaco to waste their millions here, you are better off getting a coffee at La Note Bleue on Larvotto beach or the popular Italian coffee shop under Park Palace near casino square.
