Founded in 1902 by Prince Albert I, the Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology is dedicated to exploring the origins of humanity and the prehistoric civilizations that once inhabited the region. It was a cute stop on the way to monaco. If you want a place where you can catch your breath and at the same time learn something new. This is the place to be! We were welcomed by some amazing and kind people. The VR tour is nicely done ! You can go to the terrace - which has the perks of having an amazing view on monaco.

Had a nice (€1!) visit to this place. It’s small but nice and it has a terrace with a great view.

As an anthropologist I had to visit the museum. It's a very small museum compared to others around Europe/ World, but for the price you pay you will have a great time. It's cool since you have items/ reconstructions of items found near Monaco, and it's also kids friendly with some sheets for painting and make them entertained. Outside you can see a nice view of Monaco. For 1€ (in 2023) it's a pleasant place to visit, I don't even believe that it pays the electricity spent during the time I was inside ahah.

Small museum but the visit was totally worth it. The exhibits were unique and amazing. Lots of insightful information. The entry ticket is 1 € and the view from the terrace is amazing.

It was under renovation when we visited and only one wing is receiving visitors. But for 1 euro, it was well worth it!

Small museum, with focus on education. Quite entertaining for children (preferebly speaking french). A fair number of artefacts from older research in nearby caves. The museum has very friendly and helpful staff, and admission is practically free (€ 1). A nice change of pace to the extravaganza of the ultra-rich, which are very much in evidence in Monaco 😉

Small, but free with garden admission. The cave (grotto) where these artifacts come from is the really cool part. Tours go there every hour on the hour. The museum itself has some pretty nice taxidermy and skeletons. Unlike US museums, they seem to have originals on display, which is neat.
