A rare and amazing experience. Friendly and efficient service. Great casual vibe with a mixed crowd. Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Call for a reservation to sit at the bar and watch the chef in action.

The former owners of world famous Fuji in the Monaco Sporting. That was the last standing authentic japaneese institution, family owned and insanely good. Then Monaco sold their soul to Coya and other little concepts, but that’s another story. After closing Fuji, The Kodera family opened this little corner of paradise in the Condamine Market, still serving the best sushi in town with the same passion and devotion. Now you have a choice: do you want to go to the boring usual sushis in town or want to taste something real and authentic away from the radars? If your choice is the latter, Kodera is for you. :)

Best Japanese food in monaco ! A real good Japanese food with reasonable price if you are in monaco or around the area. The team are super nice and kind. Reservation is a must ! They are mostly full all the time.

This is the best sushi I’ve tried so far in Europe! ♥️ I’ve been to many sushi restaurants (Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, etc.) in the past three years… but no other restaurant can beat this place! Having lived in Japan for ten years, I totally recommend this place if you want to eat real good sushi 🍣

Very good , fresh and genuine japanese food in Monaco. It is a shame that they do not deliver their delicious food to your hotel... I ordered a take away during their lunch time service for my dinner as they are located in side the market that is pretty busy during lunch break and I did not have the possibility to eat in so I came back at 07.30PM to pick my order up which was carefully packed by the owner. Really good, will try to "eat in" next time just for the ambiance

Located in the marché on Places d’Armes, reservation is needed as they don’t have a lot of tables available. Have been here a few times and the quality they deliver is really impressive! Passionated and friendly people running the restaurant. Even when waiting times are a bit longer due to a lot of take away orders, they will be honest up front about it and it’s worth waiting for. You could say “Monaco” prices but in my opinion the price you pay for fresh and super good sushi any place.

You'll found Kodera inside the fresh market, a place where some of the best food in Monaco meet. It's the only Japanese here but it's the best by far in the whole Principality, which is good and sad at the same time because you wonder how come that tiny counter inside a market does it better than more expensive and better located adresses (Moshi just to name one). For a counter, it's not that cheap but quality/price is there! I have never tried Yoshi (1 Michelin star) but it's not the same category. Go early (they close the kitchen at 9.30pm).

I have been trying to call for weeks now the minute they open to either get a table or to get a delivery (after trying to walk in the minute they open into their “restaurant” ... a counter in a busy market lol ). Either the phone is never answered no matter how long I wait , they hang up or tell me they can’t assist me. When you go there in person they take ages to even notice you because of how understaffed they are and just say to call and run off. Extremely unprofessional and totally not worth the hype. I’d just go to CapoSushi around the corner instead, which has a much nicer atmosphere and actual customer service :)

This is probably one of my favourite places in Monaco. It's very casual being located in the Food Halls of the Place d'Armes next to the morning Fruit and Vegetable market. No need to get dressed up if you don't want to. I eat lunch here 2-3 times a week. I take their Menu du Jour at €25 with either Chicken or Salmon. It's absolutely delicious. Their Sushi is on a par with that of Nobu, considering the chef has been mentored by Nobu Head Sushi Chef Masa San. I didn't review MC by Kodera before because it was my secret place but I really do have to share it because it's only fair that others should know about it.. but don't tell everyone or I'll never get a seat!

Kodera means Fuji, which means the highest quality Japanese cuisine in Monaco. Ideally placed in the heart of the Marché de la Condamine this is the place to go if you want to enjoy some very good sushi, sashimi, tempura and many other famous Japanese dishes without spending a fortune.
