My favourite place in Monaco 🇲🇨, this restaurant is very well located just behind the cathedral in the heart of the old town and has a very nice terrasse to share a great moment with friends. The food is excellent, portions are very generous, staff efficient and helpful . I strongly recommend this l'express and will be back soon!

Was lovely food- pizza was great! Unfortunately espresso martini was just from a pre made bottle (no added fresh espresso etc) and was not shaken so came with no froth. Disappointing as they charge €12 for cocktails!

Pasta with squid and calamari was almost tasteless - 2/5, gnocci were 4/5, quite overpriced for the food quality, only the location was nice - right behind the cathedral. The food was served fast.

Nice place at a small square right behind the Cathedral. The service was quick and courteous, and the menu of the day (lamb with mashed potatoes) was very good. The only thing is that the menu also includes a dessert, and if you don't want it, you are still charged full price. So effectively their tip was paid in two uneaten desserts.

Came here for an organised dinner as part of a tour and the food itself was presented well, but the taste was acceptable and good but not amazing. The restaurant itself is located amongst the terraces of Monaco, but also was a little warm in some areas.

Nestled in a quiet corner near the Prince's Palace in Monaco, this restaurant offered a delightful experience. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the ambiance enchanting. However, it was a bit pricey, with a bill of 100€ for two main courses, a small appetizer, and two non-alcoholic drinks. My only concern was overhearing the some waiters making racial remarks about certain guests while I was washing my hands, which I found highly inappropriate.

Very poor service. It took us over 20 minutes to be seated despite another waiter immediately sitting people. Once we sat down the staff forgot our order and we waited over an HOUR for our food. Unacceptable service level when everyone around us (some who came 20 minutes after us) got their food immediately. We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid at ALL COSTS.

I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant for anyone who doesn’t really speak French. We asked for a table and our waiter, the very fat one (sorry, no other way to distinguish him from the others) was quite abrupt with setting a table for us. Fine, you’re busy I get it. We sat and looked through the menu and though probably weren’t going to order the price fix menu we were curious what it was Our waiter sat a table immediately behind us 5 minutes later and we could hear him telling them about the dishes on the price fix menu in French. We had to flag him down to order and when we asked about the price fix menu he said it was sold out. We said we just heard him telling the other table, and he said it had just sold out. So given the rude service and your lying waiter, we left and decided to spend our money elsewhere for lunch. Found a lovely little restaurant a few lanes over where they actually provided service and a smile. You may think you’re clever getting tourists to pay more and providing bad service because you know we probably won’t be back but that says a lot about the type of restaurant you are. Looking at the other reviews now looks like your waiter did us a favour because the food looks mediocre at best.

Good restaurant near the Monaco Palace but nothing special. Food was ok as was the beer. Main course farandole monégasque gives the opportunity to taste more local dishes on one plate. Interior is a bit small but you can also sit outside. Price of main course plus beer €30 which is not much for Monaco. Servis told us that tip is not included what is difference between Monaco and French restaurants in nearby Nice for example.

Was excited to try this place given its range of meals on the menu but unfortunately really let down, particularly by the Asian dishes. The set menu was not available despite having a reservation and coming in at 1.30pm on a weekday. We ordered a poke bowl, shrimp wok noodles, salmon and zucchini risotto and a goats cheese pastry. The goats cheese pastry was nice but the cheese was very overpowering, the risotto was a huge portion but quite bland and gluggy, the stir fry was also gluggy and the poke bowl was very wet - probably due to the salad not being dried off before the meal was assembled. Flavours weren't bad but we had higher expectations based on previous reviews. Service was also mediocre, echoing other reviews that staff aren't overly friendly. Facilities are clean and restaurant is nice but would suggest giving this one a miss and trying other restaurants along the pier or popping into another restaurant next door

A cute restaurant to stop at while in Old Town of Monaco! We got the Caesar Salad and the Carbonara, both which were good. The staff working with us were unfortunately not very friendly which definitely lessened our experience at L’express.

Oh wow! Make a reservation here! The food was so good! I had the Chicken Cesar, my boyfriend had a pizza. Both were great. It's a very busy location and fills up very quickly. Make a reservation!

Fast service. Outdoor seating was nice. The Caesar salad and the salmon tartar were very good. The beer / drink menu was not clear. They brought us a wine menu when we asked for the drink menu but still did not understand the cost. Other reviews said drinks were 14.50 so we passed but would have really enjoyed a refreshment with our meal. Be ready - they ask for a 10% tip on every bill. Unusual.

We ordered a beer and a pizza. When we finally got it and I started to eat it suddenly I felt something strange in my teeth. I got i out and saw a metal spring. Buy what amazed me was the reaction of the waiter. He just took the pizza from me and asked if I want another pizza instead. I said no. He didn’t apologize and brought me the bill with the pizza inside. I asked him if he thinks I need to pay for a pizza that almost broke my teeth? He called the manager. The manager got the pizza out of the bill, but offered bo excuse, apologize or compensation. I don’t recommend this place.
