Wonderful experience my wife and I had there
We happened to choose this location to celebrate our anniversary, and we're glad we picked right.
A couple of days before we were upgraded from the basic to another room but surprisingly, a few hours before and upon request we were upgraded to the junior suite which was very nice among them
Seamless check-in, great service, large, modern room, plenty of amenities, and an amazing view. AC/Heater on point (very uncommon lately)
Facilities were very well maintained. Luckily, we went during the low season, so it was more enjoyable for us since we didn’t have to deal with many guests walking around the facilities.
Gym very complete with plenty of machines although I still decided to go for a run taking advantage of the wonderful Monaco weather
The private beach was empty so I was at the pool.
Breakfast was great with variety, fresh dishes and a chef, we were a bit rushed at the end, as they started removing things 10 min before breakfast's ending time
Overall great experience I would be back if I have a chance but there are certain things specially when it comes to breakfast that need to be improved, the
hotel felt a bit aged but that wasn’t inconvenient

Perfect location, gorgeous view of the Mediterranean, and excellent service. We particularly enjoyed our meals in Le Cafe Lacoste. Special shoutout to our wonderful server for the week, Jerome! All the staff was wonderful.

We have returned from our Christmas and New Year's trip to various capitals in Europe and the United Kingdom, and we are very pleased to have spent six days at the Le Méridien Plaza Hotel in Monaco.
It was truly a fantastic experience, from the warm welcome we received from Ivan at the reception desk to the excellent service provided by Inna in the restaurant at breakfast time.
The entire hotel staff, including the service personnel, made us feel right at home. Everything was very elegant, and the staff were always ready to serve and assist us.
As an Ambassador Elite Member, the hotel provided us with a large suite on the 11th floor, with a wonderful view of Monte Carlo.
They constantly surprised us with champagne, panettone, and chocolates. My wife, my 9-year-old son, and I had a wonderful Christmas, and without a doubt, Le Méridien Plaza is a top-tier hotel.
We will return every year for our holidays, but this time for a longer stay.

We stayed for 2 days at this beautiful hotel and absolutely loved it. Special thanks to Francesco at the reception – he arranged a stunning room for us with the best possible view, just as we wished. We had never stayed in such a luxurious and spacious hotel before. The room was huge, even equipped with a coffee machine – simply perfect. The service was excellent as well, with our luggage delivered directly to the room. Everything was flawless. On our next trip to Monaco, we will definitely book the same room again. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was our third stay at Le Méridien in Monaco, and overall it’s an okay hotel – but it’s clear that it was built years ago and has long been a gold mine for its owners without much reinvestment. Rooms feel worn, furniture shows its age, bathroom fixtures are outdated, and balcony door seals are literally hanging down. Large, noisy AC units on the balcony don’t help either.
Arrival is usually chaotic – the driveway is overcrowded, valet parking costs about three times more than the public garage just across the street, and if you don’t use valet, you’re asked to remove your car quickly. The lobby is constantly packed with guests, and a small, overwhelmed reception team struggles to manage the flow.
As a Platinum member, benefits are limited. Breakfast is included, but getting an upgrade requires persistence. Despite being told “no availability” multiple times, we eventually managed to switch to a larger room after a few days – which I appreciated.
On the positive side, the beach bar has been beautifully renovated, the gym is still quite ok and slightly improved over the years, and the direct beach access is truly exceptional – and frankly the main reason we keep coming back. Without it, we’d likely have switched hotels long ago.
Food and drinks are decent, but the price-performance ratio is extremely poor, even by Monaco standards. For example, you pay €20–30 for a simple sandwich here, while just next door at a very good pizzeria you get a proper starter and main course for the same price.
Unfortunately, service is often invisible, slow, and breakfast is pure chaos – especially from September onward when corporate groups fill the hotel. All in all, this is a property whose best days are clearly behind it, but due to the unique beachfront location, we’ll probably return despite the high prices.

Such a great experience! Everything was amazing from free room upgrade to food to service. I’m a Marriott platinum member but you would be surprised how many properties do not own the status. This hotel went above and beyond to fulfill every single request for us. The grounds were beautiful, the salt water pool was heated, such a nice touch and the beach was very nice too. Breakfast buffet to die for and the restaurant is super as well. We will be definitely coming back.

We come here 3rd year in a row, love it. Great atmosphere, service is wonderful, rooms are clean. Room service and food is wonderful. Our favorite get away spot with a private beach , the one and only in Monaco

This is my second stay at the hotel and it’s a great choice when in Monaco. Close to the convention centre for work and right on the beach. My room was lovely with great views over the med. Held a business meeting in the restaurant overlooking pool and sea and vibe was great. Good breakfast, quiet room and enjoyable stay.

Rooms basic and in need of facelift. Shower was old style and needs updating (haven’t had to use mixer taps in years!). The rooms on the lower floors with a city view are very noisy. Thankfully the hotel was efficient and moved us to a quieter room which was very much appreciated. If you like a good sleep however I would request a quiet room in advance. ||The staff here are top quality and concierge will go above and beyond to accommodate guests. The bar staff always remembered our orders which makes guests feel valued. The staff in all areas here were outstanding.||The location was great for the tennis but a little far of a walk from the casino etc.

Very good hotel luxury. Lovely private beach. I think the room could be refurbed. In the evening when they have their ice cream cart I think they should have crepes aswell. The pool is really nice but it’s salty so it’s not really good for children. I think there should be a buffet at dinner aswell as it is a family hotel. I also think that there should be meal deals

I liked it. Hotel is spacious, beautiful small beach, swimming pool very convenient. Service is good, everyone very nice and polite. I had a classic room, but still with a sea view and very quite. Breakfast is the absolute winner! Everything so tasty!

Reviews are pretty accurate. Hugely dated, old, tired rooms, decor, furnishings, hallways, elevators, lobby area, reception. Everything needs 100% renovation. Service was outstanding by all teams, all departments. The staff in the lounge, bar seemed highly stressed and argumentative with each other. Despite condition, room was probably the cleanest Marriott I have stayed in years. Outstanding location for going to watch ATP Rolex Masters Tennis tournament. Recommended nearby restaurant Avenue31, was awful.

This is one of the great Mediterranean beach hotels . The location is A Grade and is single the best located hotel in Monaco and is the only hotel with an amazing private beach . It is well located on the no 5 and 6 bus routes which will take you to the Western side of the city on the 6 or the no 5 to the train station. The rooms are a generous size and are US standard size and are spacious . I have stayed many times and there is a low staff turnover so the staff are happy and well informed of how best to look after you ! Taxis are notoriously hard to get in Monaco but Andreaa and the bell desk can seem to get anything done quickly from an umbrella , to directions to a taxi very quickly . The room cleaning is of an exceptionally high standard and the beds are some of the best you will find in any hotel and the king beds are super kings on the US standard with fine cotton sheets and cotton towels . Views are amazing of the sea and again very hard to beat on any other hotel and the pools ( inside and outside ) are the biggest and the best in Monaco . The bar and pool are a great social location with all sorts of celebs calling by for drink or a coffee . The staff are always so friendly and the breakfast is the best ! Boba the breakfast chef cooks 10’000 eggs and omelettes a year and I doubt you will ever get a better french omelette . Creamy yet fully cooked fresh egg omelette is all you need ! Say hi to Alberto in the food and beverage along with Raphael , Jonathon and Remi, they just know how to make your breakfast special . Front desk is always open and Andrea and the front desk staff nothing is too hard . What I love about this hotel is the way the look after repeat and loyal customers . If you are in the Marriott Bonvoy they will honour everything and more . Stephen S
