He started working in communities in 1988 and embarked on an artistic journey that led him to Europe, the United States, and Asia. Today, he is a prominent figure in the Maori art scene. In 2014, he launched a series of exhibitions featuring works in polystyrene and Plexiglas, highlighting the ocean and the problem of plastic waste. These exhibitions have been showcased in numerous museums worldwide.
