Izakaya Cozza is a nice Japanese restaurant in Monaco. We had traditional Japanese plates, it was a great experience for the whole family, I highly recommend it. The staff is top, friendly, and kind, especially with our kids, thanks a lot! The food was excellent and plentiful, the prices are very reasonable, very good value for money.

Arrived there for lunch. It’s about 150m from the Grimaldi forum so it’s quite easy to find. Sat outside as we were told it was full inside - though I saw some free tables. Thankfully the weather was cool enough to sit outside. Had the chirashi - it was ok, not fantastic in comparison to Japanese standards. The wasabi was authentic so that’s a plus. Friendly staff who made us feel welcome.

One of our favourite places to eat in Monaco. The exceptional kitchen brings together a fusion of Mediterranean and far Eastern cuisine in a way unequalled in Monaco. A great lunch or dinner option with cheerful staff, an excellent wine list and a great location.

In their defense, I don't think ramen culture is as big in Monaco as it is in Canada, however my expectations being in such a fancy place such as Monaco is that the ramen is on par. It is not. The service is exceptional with the waiters being friendly and attentive. I also very much appreciated the server going out of his way to ask the chef if they could make dandan noodles for me as they did not have it at the moment but I was really craving it. The seating area outside is laid out nicely but inside was much more comfortable but we were seated outside. Unfortunately I wish I asked as there was AC but it seemed like inside was for reservation only. Foods ordered Shoyu with cha-su - 3/5 Wife (ramen queen) ordered this and found it decent compared to what she's used to. Broth was rather salty and the cha-su actually rather dry which is interesting considering they use pork belly. Noodles for the ramen were very good as they used alkaline noodles that give it that great bounce and texture. Spicy ramen with karaage - 4/5 I ordered the spicy ramen and enjoyed it. It was salty however with the spice, it created better balance than it did for my wifes shoyu. The karaage was fried nicely with the chicken still moist so that was very good. Noodles used were the same as shoyu so props there. Overall a solid bowl of noodles but not up to par with what I'm used to. Bibimbap - 2/5 This was whole heartedly very disappointing. Presentation was very nice and came with plentiful of toppings; however I found that this worked against the dish (complaining about surplus toppings am I crazy?). I actually wish there was more rice added to this as this dish was just too salty. I don't think they took into account that the toppings they add such as kimchi and meat already have a salty component so with the sauce added on, it was just too much. I was craving for a plain bowl of rice to dump on there to balance it out. Exotic cheesecake (mango and passionfruit) - 5/5 Star of our meal, this was very delicious but not like your typical cheesecake where the cake is firm. Maybe it was supposed to be firm and maybe the heat or blowtorch melted it but the inside was barely holding itself together. The top was burnt nicely as creme brulee's should and the middle was extremely light but flavorful of fruit. Graham bottom was thin and delicious. Water being 7euros was criminal but I'm in Monaco so I expected everything to cost an arm and a leg

Nice place for lunch, a bit more outside the main busy areas. Service was great and friendly. Good value for money with the lunch special. Highly recommended

Great and very tasty food. The chicken gyoza is one of the best I have had and the spicy edamame and sushi were delicious. We will need to come back to try the ramen. If you want Japanese food and are in Monaco you need to try this place 100%

Worst New Year Eve Dinner ever . we were 4 people and we ordered 4 different meals of which only one starter was eatable. The fish proudly priced €52 was over powered with spices and over salted . no effort was made by the serving team to offer an alternative regardless the most special evening of the year! very disappointing. surprisingly, no washroom in the restaurant, although the prices are out of proportion.

Service was great but somewhat too quick with picking up empty things on the table. Food was delicious, but a bit pricy for some portions (maybe have an additional side with it?) If you sit by the terrace, you get all the view of the fancy cars coming by, if thats your thing. Overall was a great night.

Our favorite sushi in Monaco. Very accommodating of our baby, so this is the restaurant we’ve been to the most in the last year or so. The beef is incredible! The fried chicken is delicious. The rolls are very original, personal favorites are the macche sake and tutto verde. The cocktails are solid, and there’s a good sake selection. Don’t skip the fresh wasabi grated table side, it makes allllll the difference. Nice details like micro ships are incredibly attentive for a reasonable price. Lovely design with faux plants covering the ceiling, really nice tableware, comfy couches. Staff speak English. We get lunch most often but it’s nice for dinner too, I’ve taken out of town guests here. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming, very convivial at lunch and more subdued in the evening.

Rude waiters they were so arrogant! Zero respect for a single woman dining. The place was recommended by the Duke bar next door, which was a lovely place. I had the expression that they’d rather vomit than serve me. Moreover, they acted like I was visiting their private home for food yet it was a public restaurant opened for business! Unbelievable!! Wine was hot as it is 30 Celsius in Monaco tonight, but the waiter served it anyway. Then I asked for it to be changed by the manager. He said that he could add ice and I said that I needed a fresh and cold glass at 10 euros a glass for 7cl of Chablis. Cod was tasty, but salty and a bit cold though it was on the grill. They could have sold me so much more!! I was opened to experience and to spend, but they did not bother to offer a descent service. Pretended that speaking English was a language from space when they are in Monaco. Not worth the 60 euros and the waiter had very bad breath 😷 If you enjoy over paying for smelly arrogant poor waiters then this place is for you!!! Ciao 👋 Tiffany

One of the best meals we had so far while on holiday. My boyfriend and I visited Monaco for a day trip and we stumbled upon this little area. We had three starters that we shared which i strongly recommend: the gyoza, prawn sushi and chicken! For the main: we had beef katsu curry which comes with rice and grilled beef.

Had a lovely dinner at izakaya cozza. We shared their Ferrari California rolls for appetizer. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) then for main, we had the chicken karaage curry and bibimbap. Both were delish! For dessert, we shared the cheesecake. Recommend everything but the cheesecake, it was not a hit. Apart from the food, the service was superb. Everybody was nice and welcoming. Will definitely go back!! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Would totally go back. Had a great meal and service. The sushi was excellent. I also really enjoyed the fried chicken (probably the best in Monaco.) Nothing was bad or off at all. People were really nice. I can't believe I've walked by this a ton without ever going in yet.

Modern Japanese restaurant (with a slight Italian touch) in a pedestrian-friendly area. Friendly staff, well-prepared food and a good ambiance. Reasonable pricing for Monaco.

Poor service: we booked a table at 1pm inside (specifically asked to be inside due to heatwave and one pregnant person attending the lunch). When we arrived, waiter advised no table inside was available and asked us whether we would changed our mind and accept to be outside (where no one was due to the temperature) we declined. Waiter complained and showed he was annoyed by pestering while having to consider to dress one of the indoor table. We were then offer another indoor table available. Then when provided with menus waiter did not consider to state the options of the dishes of the day. When he was called back to be asked for those details he further pestered and said he’ll come back later. Moving on to the check I highlighted to the manager that on the bill 2 apples juices were charged when not ordered by the table and took the opportunity to mention the negative experience so far compared to the previous numerous time we came there. Manager did not take constructive feedback well and advise I’ll be blacklisted by this restaurant and the one in front owned by the same owner… well I could not care less, there are plenty of better options around with proper service.

One of the nicest places I have ever eaten at in Monaco. I walked in just on the off chance that they could help me, I was a little nervous as I was alone and a the restaurant was very busy..................Chris not only welcomed me, but he also helped me to order a take away, let me take a seat, relax and have a beer.....If that was not enough he ordered me a taxi and he carried my take away into the taxi and even made sure the driver knew where I was going to............WOW......WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE........I have never had that level of care ever in my life from anyone.....THANK-YOU CHRIS you are truly an amazing person.......it always makes a difference for people, sometimes they just forget to tell you............hope to see you soon, Sam.

SUPER busy, so reservation is a most. 😊 Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Unfortunately our busy smiling waiter, often forgot what we ordered, (even if l clearly explained my allergies but he bring my food with them nevertheless) Luckily l saw it on time, and the manager and waiter apologised profusely. Will be great if next time despite they are full and busy, that they could keep an eye on details. 😊

I usually like to go to Mozza but last night we wanted to try the new addition: Cozza, which focuses on fish & seafood. First of all, I was surprised to see that the wine menu was bigger than the food menu. 🤔 The food menu was indeed very small and extremely limited. I even was surprised that salmon wasn’t even on the menu (like, really?!) so we tried different things like calamari, tuna, asparagus etc...the food was ok, nothing special and be aware that the portions are rather small. So to compensate we had the strawberry tiramisu for dessert. Again, it was good but average good. To my opinion, it is expensive for what it is...especially considering that fact that you might leave the place hungry. The decor is nice though and the waiters are friendly so that makes up for it. The overall experience was ok, but I probably won’t come back to that place.
